Good for families

Good site worth a second visit.

Our first visit to the site and we stayed for 8 nights. We will definitely visit again. Difficulties travelling to and from the site on arrival and departure have once again made me realise that you can't rely on the satnav when towing. Ended up on a single track coming home which was a 7 mile nightmare. Very pleased with the site which I felt encouraged a community atmosphere with some very nice areas that made a change from long lines of outfits. TV signal was great if you coupled to the electric hook up points, we managed uninterupted access to the Internet via 4g with EE and the mobile signal was also very good. We managed to walk into town in 6 minutes, but we do walk quite fast. We were on the second row back from the road so yes the noise is there but you get used to it and there are quieter pitches. We go for hard standing but the grass pitches were on nice firm soil and drained very well. Also the layout of the site allows shortcuts to the shower block without concerns you may be encroaching on someone's pitch. Lots of very friendly wildlife on site, dozens of rabbits and ducks that join you for meals if dining outside. Our stay coincided with the regatta so there was a real buzz both on the site and in the town. You can still access the Thames path during the regatta and can take your own picknic and sit in some very key areas and enjoy. We also cycled along the Thames to marlow, which is a very easy ride. A great break on a nice site and has stated we will be returning.
