The photograph does not relate to our recent visit

We have stayed here a number of times. We were here again for a week mid August. It was in the middle of the hot spell of weather so as one might expect the grass was yellow, bone dry and the ground hard. The photograph relates to the front of the site and you will need to put up with significant road noise if you are in a pitch there. We had a large pitch at the back of the site, away from the road and backing on to trees which provided some shade. The pitches appear to be randomly laid out and there is no privacy for you on your pitch. If this is a problem for you, I suggest you speak with the site before booking. The facilities are clean and well maintained and the site is also maintained to a good standard. This is not a pastoral setting - you are here for the location, not the natural beauty. Think good quality transit camp and you won't be disappointed. Our recent visit was not viewing the site at it's best, and everyone reacts differently. Looking out from our caravan we had a first rate view of a rotary clothes line which was always loaded with their washing, and turning our heads slightly we had a great view of a row of dustbins. We were however close to the utility building which was important for us. Win some, lose some! I am sure we will use this site again in the future as it is a useful location as a base if you intend to be out and about.

Relaxing stay. Easy walk into Henley

We stayed here for 2 nights, Friday - Sunday, early August. Arrival was easy apart from trying to reverse the Van so it was perfectly aligned with the white peg! We walked into Henley on Friday afternoon which was an easy 10/15 min walk although, as others have said, the path is narrow in places and is next to the busy road. If I had young children with me it would have been far more stressful. Henley is lovely with plenty of things to do if you like eating, drinking, shopping and walking by the river. We attended a wedding on the Saturday and so were off-site a considerable amount of time but we did have two lazy mornings on site and it is quiet, pleasant, green and very clean & tidy. We were pitched by the road but it didn't bother us, it seemed to fade into the background for most of the time. Although previous reviewers are right, cars and lorries are going past at all hours day & night. I wouldn't choose a pitch near the road for a longer stay but would have pitched on the grass towards the top of the site. The only niggle was that the shower blocks are closed 10:30am - 12 noon each day. I'm not a morning person and, as I work full-time, I love a lie-in on holiday & don't want to be up, dressed and out for a shower by 10am. But it was a small inconvenience. The site had a lovely feel to it and the wardens were friendly. The facilities were spotless. We are already planning a return visit for a weekend in the Autumn.

Dated

The site is very dated and overpriced. The staff were excellent and very helpful, friendly but let down by the site itself. At these prices I would expect the site to have nice presentable pitches along with new toilet blocks. Who wants to empty their chemical toilet out in the open. Motorhome service point you have to lift a lid to drain your waste. Excess waste can run down the path next to some of the pitches. Better value at the site next door Premier Park around the same price. Also bit close to the road for noise.

Great Wardens

Having just returned to the north of Scotland following a 20 night stay, the welcome and friendliness of the site wardens made our stay quite memorable. The facilities were spotless and it was a pleasure to nip round to the office to collect a newspaper and be welcomed by smiling faces. People make places!

Helpful wardens.

Shortly before planned arrival date, I had to change booking dates due to unforeseen circumstances. I made an error whilst doing this and omitted a day of holiday. Contacted site warden via website, who sorted out my mistake ,completely rebooked holiday and confirmed by email.Much appreciated service and great site.

Fantastic site and location

This is a fantastic site in a fantastic location, easy access to London and surrounding locations, Marlow, Reading and Oxford to name a few. The site is very well kept and the wardens were lovely and always cheerful when you saw them around the site.

Probably the best site wardens!!!

Just back from 8 days at this site, the wardens are the best we have ever encountered on any club site visited. Nothing was a problem for them and location was ideal for all our planned trips in the area.Facilities are exactly the same as any other club site we have visited and everything was spotless. Brilliant stay thanks for all your help.

Well suited for beautiful Henley, tired facilities and noisy by road.

I cannot agree with recent comments regarding the staff. Toilets are tired and insufficient for the size of site and both sexes are closed for 90 minutes from 10.30am. Road is noisy if pitched close - depending on festivals etc noise persists throughout the night. Road to Henley takes 15 minutes but can be narrow (fast traffic) and is unlit at night. No satellite reception if close to road.

Go pod life

Well simply the best ever campsite ,, we love this Henley campsite as it’s close to all the places we need to go ie festivals , shopping , lovely as you can walk into town too ,, the staff who run this are brilliant they remembered us and every pith we stayed in so far πŸ˜‚, they have a glorious herb garden , I love cooking and like to dabble on the camp cooker , the pitches are really well spaced out not uniform like most campsites with rabbits and ducks roaming around , also red kites which are awesome,, best time ever πŸ˜€
