The rudest site managers I have ever met in my entire time travelling! Arrived 12.45pm to be told to leave the site and return at 1pm. After a 3-hour journey asked if I could use the toilet before leaving and then was challenged aggressively by the partner at the toilet block thinking I was trying to hide there. I was then watched to make sure I left the site where I drove up the road for 3 minutes, turned around and checked back in....how pathetic! Totally spoilt my trip and experience of the site. I said to the manager that I had never been chased off a site before which she replied "there is a first for everything!" To be honest the road noise will keep you awake all night so stay at Swiss Farm or Hurley Riverside Park, better site and friendly site staff unlike these aggressive people!

In line with the majority of our Club campsites, the earliest arrival time at Henley Four Oaks is 1pm. This is to allow our site teams to complete key operational site tasks and have time for their lunch ahead of new arrivals check in at 1pm. If your journey is going better than expected, we do ask members to factor in a location where you can pull over and rest if you are going to arrive at a campsite prior to 1pm, motorway services or a layby for example.
The barrier at Henley Four Oaks Club Campsite requires a fob to operate it. We understand that as you had not checked in you were not in possession of a fob to gain exit therefore, a member of staff was needed to raise the barrier to enable you to depart and return for 1pm.
In respect of your comment about ‘being chased off the site’ the Site Manager had intended this to be said with a sense of humour, although he does understand how this may have been misconstrued under the circumstances. The Site Manager does apologise for any misunderstanding in his communication with you.
We do hope you enjoyed the remainder of your stay and all that the area of Henley On Thames has to offer and we look forward to welcoming you back to another Club campsite in the future.
