Lovely site but ear plugs needed

Warden's helpful and friendly, close and handy for Henley on Thames ample choice for food big down side the walk into Henley not the time or distance but the traffic on the road.

Nice but noisy

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this site. As usual wardens we're helpful and efficient on our arrival. The site is well kept and facilities are spotless. However the road noise and aircraft noise spoils what otherwise would be a lovely site. It's an easy walk into Henley with plenty of eateries to choose from, but care is needed on the very narrow footpath on the busy main road. Waliking it in the dark is not recommended!

Choose our spot carefully

We stayed at Henley for 5 days in October and found it pleasant enough with very little road noise (choose a pitch away from the road if possible). The site information says TV reception is poor, I say TV reception is worse than useless even using the white extension lead into site system picture and sound freezes every now and again (I realise that it is the trees causing the problem but why can't site extend the mount pole so aerial clears the trees). Pleasant walk in to Henley along the main road and it is about 15-20 Minutes to get to the centre of town with many cafes and a good selection of shops.

very noisy

This is the noisiest site we have ever stayed on. The first row of pitches are a mere few metres from the nearside of a very fast and busy road with a noisy road surface as is the childrens play area. You can feel the lorries go by!  It is constant. Henley is gorgeous and walking there is via a narrow footpath on the same road. The noise is less the further you are back so get here early and get one of them if you want to sleep. Site facilities as good as any

Red kites and rabbits entertained us.

A well managed site, in a good location to see many places of interest e.g. Windsor. We enjoyed watching the red kites and the rabbits. The only draw backs were the frequency of aeroplanes flying in and out of Heathrow,  our pitch was rather muddy (no hard stands available so book early) and poor Caravan Club site wi-fi. However, we will use this site again.

Good for visiting Henley on Thames

Nice site with standard CC facilities and easy 15 min stroll into Henley on Thames. The site is noisy if you pitch near the road and it is on the Heathrow flight path so there is some aircraft noise.

Lovely to be back in Henley again.

Last month September we visited camping Four Oaks(again) for a week. The town is delightful, the surroundings beautyful and we were able to make some lovely walks. When you walk back from the town to the campsite it's quite dark! What we missed this year was the personel involvement of the new wardens. They were friendly, but they didn't show any personal interest. Also there were quite a few problems with the barriers. I think the wardens should be more visible at the campsite during the day so they can see that some people just let their dogs pee in front of one's caravan.
