Lovely site with lovely wardens
I went here recently for one night, to familiarise myself with my new motorhome. I am recently widowed and although we'd had a large motorhome as a couple, all the technical stuff was my husband's domain. So when I downsized the van I had to learn everything from scratch. This visit was to enable me to feel confident that I knew how to set up and use my van comfortably.
I arrived to a lovely warm welcome from the wardens, Linda & Peter and I explained that I was new to the solo motorhome life. They were both very friendly and offered whatever help they could give if I needed it. They were both really happy, friendly people and they made me feel like I wasn't an idiot for not knowing stuff! As it turned out, I managed without any hitches but I was reassured by the wardens right from the get-go which was a great relief to me in my novice state!
I would recommend this site for peace & quiet and for walking; nearby Hebden Bridge is a lovely stroll away along the canal. Local pubs do lovely food and local shops & cafes are perfect for holiday needs.
