Lovely Small Site

What a lovely little site. Obviously no facilities but I think the introduction of the service pitches is very welcome and quite economical compared to full facility sites. The new motorhome service point is excellent as well. As motorhomers we like to leave that on site and explore by public transport. There is and almost hourly bus service from outside the site entrance going to Hebden Bridge in one direction and Huddersfield in the other. You can take the bus, or walk down to Mytholmroyd where there are even more frequent bus services to Hebden Bridge and beyond and Halifax the other way. Hebden Bridge is a delight and there are numerous places for coffee/tea or pubs if you prefer. The cafe in the Town Hall is worth consideration. One day we took the Bronte Bus to Haworth. Not only was the trip over the moors spectacular but the place also interesting. If you get that far the you must visit Haworth Parsonage, which is now a museum. You can see the room and the table where the Bronte sisters wrote their books. So plenty to do from the site. There is no WiFi currently but the warden mentioned they are soon to have a WiFi hotspot which will be welcome. Having said that I found the 4G signal reasonable. Perhaps worth mentioning that there are ongoing road works in Mytholmroyd which are causing delays. Arriving at the site from the B6138 via the A58 from junction 21 on the M62 is a perfectly good route.
