Great site spoiled by "Jobs Worth" warden. We arrived at 1.30 to find no wardens on site, just a note saying find a place and that they would be back by 5.00. No problem . At about 5.30 I saw the warden walking across the site and politely asked him if the reception was open only to be told in a very offhand manner that it would be open "When my wife had finished her phone calls." Not a very friendly welcome. Next morning he went round our hardstanding pitch spraying what I presume was weed killer. Unfortunately. he carelessly sprayed it over our dog's water bowl. Lucky I spotted it and was able to clean it. Spraying weed killer on an occupied pitch must surely be wrong. The main grass area on site had keep off the grass signs on it and I saw him telling a poor lady off for allowing her dog, on it's lead, to stray on the grass. Surely this main grass area, the only one on the site, should be open for people to enjoy and not out of bounds. When we left the site we drove our motorhome the correct way round the one way system to the motorhome service point to empty our grey water. The service point is at the very end of the one way. The service point is on the left and our grey water is on the right. There is a hedge at the start of the service point that restricts access. As a result it was impossible to get our outlet completely over the waste grid. No problem I thought I will simply turn round and face the other way so our outlet is safely over the grid. There were no other vehicles moving at the time and we would not have caused an obstruction. As I was turning round the warden came running across literally screaming and shouting that I could not do that because I would then be pointing the wrong way up the one way system. I tried to explain why I wanted to do this, but he simply would not listen. Eventually we drove away and dumped our grey water at the next site we visited. I know rules are there for a purpose, but sometimes a bit of common sense is needed when interpreting them and there is no need to scream and shout at people. I have never met a warden with an attitude like this one. All others have been friendly, very helpful and pragmatic. I see from comments about the site on Google Reviews that we are not alone in having problems with the warden on this site. I say again, a great site spoiled by a warden with bad attitude.
