Good for families

Beautiful friendly site.

Spent a week at Hebden Bridge and really enjoyed it. On arrival, the warden was welcoming and friendly explaining that as we had a non-awning pitch, she had reserved a large enough pitch for our outfit. This was by the river at the lower end of the site which was plenty large enough and just needing a block as it was slightly sloping. There was a bit of road noise especially for the awning pitches closer to the road, the only problem we encountered was the amount of small flies which made it uncomfortable to sit out. The dog walk as others have stated is only a tiny wooded area and you have to watch your step. We enjoyed plenty of walks with varied scenery during our stay including Stoodley Pike, Hardcastle Crags, and a lovely walk from Haworth to Top Withens and Bronte Falls. We also visited the Piece Hall in Halifax and walked from site down the road to the Rochdale Canal to Hebden Bridge and back (around 6 miles). Recommend Craggies Farm shop a few miles away which also has a lovely cafe. In conclusion, the site is a great base if you love walking or cycling but I would say not ideal for children as no play area.
