Nice site to visit the area

We had just a two night stay here, thankfully they were able to accommodate us as they had had to cancel quite a few bookings due to waterlogged pitches. Nice friendly wardens keeping the site and amenities up to the usual high standards. Sadly the washing machine was out of action and as we had done a few CL sites on a lengthy trip from home I was hoping to do some washing, never mind these things happen and they were trying to get it sorted. I really think the band system has to be re-thought out, I wonder if the policy will change if Boris eases restrictions on the 19th July? But until then and after then if CAMC continues with this restricted use policy it will continue to be a little chaotic. I turned up at the showers one morning, all bands in the bucket, but both showers were being used, one of the women who came out said she had definitely put a band on the hook but said "to be honest I don't think anyone's bothering with it anymore because no one agrees with it!!" Anyway on to brighter things, we cycled into Swanage and had a lovely day on the beach and walking around the town. As others have said Corfe and it's castle is worth a visit although admission charges to the castle are a little high but a must visit is the Square and Compass pub, very busy and be warned that it may well mean sitting outside. A walk down to the bay and Kimmeridge are also good spots, so much to see and do on this coastline. Wareham is lovely little town, with a Sainsbury's to stock up on essentials before reaching the site, a good car park just on the edge of the town which can easily accommodate a motorhome. We have electric bikes to get about on, but although some steep climbs most of it is doable. We really liked Swanage so if we were ever to visit again would definitely come back to this site. When in Swanage a walk along the pier is good, plenty of watersports and boat trips, ferry and self drive motor boats. The steam trains also run from here to Corfe, didn't use so can't pass any comment or advice.
