Needs updating, wonderful location.

We have just come back from 19 nights at Haycraft. The site is in a wonderful location, close to Swanage, Studland and Corfe and you can walk to the station to catch the steam train! However, the site is quite badly let down by the washroom facilities, in particular the showers. There are only three (not enough when the site is full) and while we were there the control on one of them broke. The wardens ordered a new part and were sent an incorrect part. They were then told the the part could not be sourced as the showers are so old. Surprise surprise! They are going to try and sort this broken shower out but in the middle of the school holidays when the site is packed, it was not a good outcome. The temporary repair the wardens tried was really not satisfactory. In addition, the pressure and temperature of the water kept changing when other showers were being used. This makes it less than safe for children to use them on their own. I was told the washrooms are scheduled for upgrade in 2018. I think the CC should consider bringing this forward. The shop did not stock very many items although the wardens did keep the site very tidy and clean. It is such an amazing location but such a pity the facilities are really not up to scratch.
