Haycraft Club Campsite makes for an ideal base from which to explore the historic towns, picturesque villages and beautiful coastline of Dorset. There are numerous public footpaths and coastal walks near the campsite for walking enthusiasts, and if you're a beach lover you will be a short distance from the sandy beaches of Swanage or the glorious stretch of golden sands at Studland Bay.

The campsite also offers easy access to the charming attractions of Poole Harbour, Bournemouth, Dorchester, Weymouth, Wareham and the National Trust's Brownsea Island, home to the traditional red squirrel. Haycraft Club Campsite is situated just a few minutes' walk away from the magnificent Swanage Railway, allowing the opportunity to ride on heritage steam and diesel trains to Swanage town centre and the attractive Corfe Castle village, which is a great favourite with both the young and old alike. If you're looking for a holiday destination in Dorset, that's away from the beaten track but within convenient distance to it, you'll find this peaceful campsite to be the perfect location with its great views.

We had a wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite. The welcome was exceptionally warm and professional. Upon arrival, everything was already prepared – the staff immediately knew who I was, how many people were traveling with me, and the length of our stay. Lovely site and facilities with nice staff but !

Sadly we were placed on an uneven grass pitch which was in the shade throughout without enough room for our awning. So disappointing ! Additionally no water tap on the small field with no WiFi access. Hardstanding pitches looked fab but we felt very short changed at £50 per night. Avoid the grass... Show more

Great facilities - lovely staff and peaceful site But !

I can only agree with several previous visitors if you end up on the grass pitch and not a hardstanding one. The field was uneven / in the shade and without a water facility. The pitch was small ( not big enough for our awning ) and cost £50 per night... Show more

Warden friendly site

Spent 4 nights in peak season at Haycraft and the wardens, Pat & Debbie, were so helpful and polite. The site was very well positioned for visits to Corfe Castle and Swanage where we used the steam and diesel trains from the station 1/2 mile down the road. Bus stops... Show more

Gem of a place

Excellent site for peace and quiet.

Just spent 2 nights at Haycraft in our campervan. Superb facilities and spotlessly clean. Easy walk down to see the steam trains come through from Swanage. Very helpful and friendly site hosts. Large dog walking field which was a big plus for our young labrador. Well spaced out pitches. Will... Show more

Excellent Site
