We're just back from a sixteen night stay on this site. The Isle of Purbeck is the perfect place for a great holiday: Wareham, Swanage and Corfe Castle are all lovely (if rather busy in peak holiday season), there are plenty of great pubs for meals, the scenery is spectacular and criss-crossed by great footpaths, the South West Coast Path is jaw droppingly fantastic, the beaches are beautiful, and the weather is wonderful (although this isn't guaranteed!). Yes, the shower blocks need to be upgraded, but if you time your visit wisely the lack of showers doesn't present too much of a problem. I've never really understood the club's insistence on providing so many privacy cubicles in shower blocks when the demand is always for showers and most caravans have wash basins and hot water these days.  Surely it would be better to provide as many showers as possible and lose some (if not all) of the privacy cubicles? The wardens at Haycraft are friendly and helpful and do a great job keeping the site clean, tidy and colourful. We'll definitely return.
