Good for families

One of the loveliest sites out there.

This is without doubt one of the loveliest sites to be found. It is nestled in a small peaceful valley about a mile from the nearest village and is well placed for the snowdonian national park, the towns of Machynlleth, Dolgeliau, Barmouth etc and is lovingly maintained and looked after at present by Wardens Dave and Brenda Moore, two of the nicest and most helpful people your meet. Always there ready to offer help and advice and to go that little bit extra to ensure that your stay at Gwern-y-Bwlch is both enjoyable and memorable. We have now stayed at this site on four occasions and have never not had a lovely stay, even when on our most recent visit, we were without a car due to breaking down on our journey to the site, which meant we arrived after 9pm, we were greeted by both Brenda and Dave who offered assistance and who very kindly rustled up a cup of tea for my wife and I, and not forgetting, Scott, our breakdown vehicle driver. Never has a cup of tea been so welcome and so enjoyed. So Brenda and Dave, thank you so much for your kind help and for always going above and beyond the remit of your job as wardens and for helping to ensure our family holiday wasn't a total disaster. The wardens at Gwern-y-Bwlch are superb and we only hope that the club recognizes that it is wardens like Brenda and Dave that make the caravan club what it is and Gwern-y-Bwlch the lovely site it is. We will definitely be back again.
