Site belongs to the Race course and run by the club for them , ,the ruts were not there when we stayed last year so i supect it was a result of poor driving when the site opened after last winters heavy rains ,and being on sandy soil without as per the course itself big investment in fertilizers/watering,and now very dry weather

We stayed 4 nights 6th aug and used this site regularly over last few years. You mention grass pitches being dusty? Do you think the hot weather may have something to do with that? We have an American rv very large no problems. Grass pitches don't usually have markings? You have your peg and park by it? Dogs should not be allowed to walk around the actual racecourse anywhere! There is a dog walk area onsite large field to left as you come in? During our 4 days there was a fish n chip van one night and an ice cream van came round every day! There usually is a shop but like most sites have had to stop because of covid, thought that would have been obvious? Lovely pub 2 min walk away would recommend this site to anyone! Hope the rest of your trip goes well....😊
