Great few days

It feels nice and spacious here. All the pitches are on grass overlooking the racecourse and I just wish we'd chosen a race day. Oh well, perhaps another time.   We were lucky with the weather and temperatures soared to the highest point so far this year. Buses run from just outside the site to the centre of Great Yarmouth and there is a co-op located less than 10 minutes walk away. Ideal for supplies. We elected to walk into Great Yarmouth along the coast road. It takes about half an hour and, if you walk across the sand dunes, you can also walk along the beach to the pier and main attractions.  A nicer feel to this option but it takes slightly longer due to the soft sand. One of the things that surprised me was just how nice the beach is at Great Yarmouth.  It is sometimes referred to as the Norfolk equivalent of Blackpool but I preferred the soft sand here to the hard sand in Lancashire. One thing the resorts do have in common is a Pleasure Beach, Winter Gardens and tacky seaside shops.  We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.
