Quaint

Up to the usual CAMC standard with an attractive reception area in an old building. The previous site can be viewed in the lane and shows how much investment goes into the current sites. The current site itself is so quaint that we expected Miss Marple to appear! The motorhome service point is large, with two disposal points if you can lift the heavy manhole covers. It is located by reception, outside the barrier so unless you use on the way into the site, you have to go around the site again if your van is too big to turn around. There is a small children's playground by the toilet block. The problem for us was that Grafham village is unattractive [Ellington is better], except the church, the walks and cycle ways were flat and uninspiring, and the reservoir itself had few interesting features. Quite simply, the area was not as good as say Carsington Waters or Blackshaw Moor at Leek. Access is easy if you follow the directions/instructions although construction work continues on the Huntingdon bypass. A good site in the wrong place for us.
