We stayed here for just 1 night on our way home from a week in a Devon. It looked promising on the way in but as we drove to find a pitch we were quite surprised at how scruffy it looked. If this was our first time on a Club site it would not have given a very good first impression. There were large areas of very long unkempt grass which I cannot accept as a wild area as it was literally just weeds and grass- if you want a conservation area at least grow some wild flowers in it or mark it as such- to a new arrival it looked awful. The pitches themselves looked tired and in need of some weedkiller and a good rake over. Grass in between was at least a couple of weeks growth. Having just come from a beautifully kept club site in Devon we felt quite sad that this one was letting the club down. Facilities were spotless. I understand that there is only 1 set of wardens on site but shutting up reception at 4 pm on a weekend and having a BBQ doesn't look good. We won't return as I know there are better sites out there.
