Wonderful small site

Have just returned from a few days on this lovely site.  Even though it was the end of the season  the weather was perfect.  Grafham Water Caravan park is lovely, quiet and the cleanest toilet and shower block we've used (this is our 12th caravan club site this year).  This is a smallish site but well kept with lovely friendly wardens.  Being the end of the season the grass pitches were closed but plenty of hard standing and we had a choice on arrival.  There is even a semi resident owl who attracts lots of attention and is very amenable in posing for photos!!  One thing be warned the site shop isnt well stocked so take provisions. However there is a community shop in Grafham about 5-10 mins cycle ride away.   Close to Grafham Water so take your bikes.  Its a nice ride around the lake with a couple of cafes half way around each way as well as a pub in Perry. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

Great site in excellent coutryside

Very good site, in close proximity to the Lake and a couple of good pubs, the Mermaid at Ellington being our favourite. The site was rather crammed when we arrived as the weather had not been good and many pitches were waterlogged. But we had a good stay at a very clean site. meeting up with friends at St Ives at the Dolphin beside the Great Ouse River. We will hope to visit again.

Grafham again

returned to Grafham again for the 6th time now in as many years, usually as a long weekend stay. Easy access of the A1 but with a single track road for the last 500 yds or so, but its not too tight. Great for walking/cycling round the Reservoir (no traffic ) or round the local roads/cycle routes. Lovely Indian restaurant close by, but closed at the mo due to a fire. Local Pubs in Buckden & Perry very good. A clean, quiet and well kept site. Freindly Wardens - We'll be back again!!!

Really lovely peaceful site, the wardens were are really great, friendly and helpful over and way above what you might reasonably expect. We had problems with our with our electric hookup which ceased up and we could not disconnect the lead from our van, the warden immediately came to our rescue advised on cause and how to resolve even provided the parts required, brilliant customer service.

Caravan Club Site Perfection

Booked in here last minute so we could bike around Grafham Water so was ideally located for this. As previous reviews, very secure, spotlessly clean facilities and helpful friendly wardens. Make sure you take plenty of the essentials with you if you arrive late as shop only stocks basics and nearest supermarket/shop is not in walking distance it is about 10 - 15 mins drive, although there are a few local pubs nearby. Did not see the pool so can't comment on that but well laid out site and easy to site caravan. Will be returning again for a longer stay as this was just a flying visit.

Delightful site

Visited this site for 2 nights in early October. Brilliant location within a 20 minute walk to Grafham Water the edge of which you can walk around. True, the weather was sunny and warm for the time of year but I think it would have been just as pleasant if the weather had been poor. We found the site to be relaxed, secure, spotlessly clean with friendly, helpful staff. There's a little duck pond, play area and pitches set out in varied directions. Trees and shrubs dotted around to give interest and natural beauty. Just delightful in every way. Would love to go back again.

Fabulous Site and Surroundings!

We stayed here mid September, living only an hour away we have not come to the site before as it's always full at the weekends and we tend to go further away.  I would highly recommend the site. The wardens are fabulous, the site is clean and tidy. We rented bikes at Grafham and had a wonderful time cycling around and stopping off at the pub on the other side which had excellent food and service, definitely recommend!  Really wonderful site, shame the pool isn't open a bit longer in the summer and the site isn't year round as there is plenty to do here.

Great Little Site

What a great little site this is. Very clean & well organised. All the facilities that you need. Wardens very friendly. Walking distance to Grafham Water, which is great for bikes, walking & water sports. Only drawback is it's not open all year round as we are in this area every month at least once. Recommend this site to anyone.

Excellent !

Booked for a late break out of school holiday time. Couldn't have been better. Excellent facilities and great pitch. Very spacious, pitch 29, towards exit. Surrounded by open fields, endless birdsong and great ambience. We did have excellent weather which added to the experience. Great location for walking and cycling. Would definitely recommend to friends and will visit again.ps. Very friendly ,helpful wardens.

Well run site

Stayed here 3rd week of Sept 2016. Site full on arrival, but thinned out during the week, but was full again by the week-end. Impeccably kept by the wardens, who were pleasant and helpful throughout.. thanks also to the two club 'volunteers' who appeared at the end of the week to assist the wardens with gardening chores... ( unsung heroes) At last we were able to see the huge resident American long horned owl, who we had never seen before, despite being told it was there. Ask the wardens, and they will point out the owl's favourite tree... it's the one with all the ( children's ) bones lying at the base!! Great site for just lazing about, yet plenty to do if you are that way inclined. The only criticism, is that there could be a little more 'info' in the information shed, but I guess most people now use the internet to research what's about. Try the Wheatsheaf at Perry for great food at reasonable prices Thoroughly recommended, and we know the same wardens will be there in 2017...... go and enjoy, but help them by acknowledging the 'off by 12:00 ' and 'do not arrive until 13:00 rule.. the lane is narrow and causes issues.. it's not the Wardens fault !! We sign off hoping they enjoyed the 'chilled white' along with the freshly caught brown trout !!
