It's One Of The Best!!!

We've stayed at the Gowerton site a number of times. It's great location, well laid out site with spacious pitches and immaculate facilities are just a few points that make it our favourite site. It's surrounded by trees and the morning bird song is idyllic. The designated dog walk in the woods is safely fenced and well positioned, not everyone likes dogs so it's nice to be able to take our gang out of the way for a good stretch of the legs and not bother anyone who doesn't want to be bothered by them. The facilities are immaculate, not a huge amount of showers for the size of site but we didn't see a problem, the Spring Bank Holiday was as busy as we've seen it and there was no sign of queueing so I guess the site planners have got it about right. There's a Tesco Express about a 10 minute walk away, other than that you're going to need a car for supplies or a pub. There's a Harvester just over a mile away, probably a good 20 minute walk but it's all flat and straightforward, depends on your feel for a walk. Accepting that you're probably going to need some mode of transport to get around then you'll find yourself ideally situated to enjoy the Gower Peninsula, Swansea Marina and the Mumbles. Try the Swansea Valley all the way up to the Brecon Beacons, about 25 mins drive. Porthcawl is a must! The beaches are beautiful, if you have children the fun fair will keep them happy for an afternoon and there's lots of cafes and places to eat on the front. Dan yr Ogof caves, Aberdulais falls or head west towards Carmarthen for the National Botanic Gardens and Aberglasney Gardens. So much to explore and see. Or just chill, relax and enjoy the beautiful Gowerton Site. Honestly, it's fabulous x
