Going down hill

This site is superbly located for this part of the country and this is why we stay here. However, the past few years this site is going down hill. We will only use club sites and 1 of the main reasons is due to the up kept of the site. We are always impressed and appreciative of the efforts the warden go through to keep things up together. Gowerton unfortunately is not 1 of these sites and we probably wont go back. The hardstanding pitches are very poor, lots of weeds and grass growing up through them and there's no visible evidence that anything is done to stop this. The grass had grown to over 6 inches before we arrived and still hadn't been cut after 6 days. We saw the grass cut around 1 other pitch and all that he did was cut around the edge of the gravel border!! Usually you can walk into a toilet or shower facility and you can instantly smell and see the cleanliness. Not once during the stay did i get this. Yes they were ok but there was areas that were unclean for a few days before being touched. It's such a shame as we love this area. Maybe I have been spoilt with the likes of Ramslade, Hurn Lane etc but once a standard has been set, all sites should achieve that standard. Finally, my youngest took part in the treasure hunt and once completed took to the office to be told that she couldn't have a prize as one of the answers was spelt incorrectly. This was extremely harsh and you would find that wardens would give the badge for the taking part. If we wasn't packing up to come home i would have said something! Some changes are really needed at this site and soon!
