Gowerton again!

We recently returned to the site primarily to visit family in the area. The site was as usual clean and tidy and the wardens again helpful and patient. We had an horrendous journey of over nine hours which would ordinarily have taken about five to six! traffic issues... We rang the site to say we could possibly arrive late...no problem they said 'ring the bell' when you arrive, fortunately we arrived about eight and true to form they were smiley and welcoming! The Bara Brith on sale in reception is yummy and fattening so beware of the temptation! Lovely weather added to our enjoyable stay with some lovely sunsets...of course we will stay here again.

Another Relaxing Break

We have stayed here a few times as it is easy for us to get to for a weekend break. Again, we enjoyed our stay immensely. The beautiful weather helped but this is a lovely site whatever the weather. We usually use hard standing pitches but as we arrived later than usual there was only a couple left, so we went on a beautiful grass pitch. We had a great time, facilities as always clean, site immaculate, flowers by reception gorgeous. Will be back soon.

First visit to a Caravan Club site and very impressed

Just got back from a weekend at Gowerton site. We've never stayed at a CC site before and were really impressed. Well maintained and clean site with ample room around pitches. There were plenty of friendly, polite staff going about their work keeping up the high standards. Toilet/shower block lovely and clean. Would certainly visit this site again.

Lovely wardens & spacious pitches

Spent 10 days here arriving Tuesday after May bank holiday but even with half term families we had a lovely spacious pitch. The staff were lovely and always happy to help. The site is on the sustrams ncr 4 which gave us miles of predominately off road cycling. We cycled down to mumbles on two occasions, along to llanelli and up the swiss valley on another and even along the coast to check out the cmc site in Pembury! Llanelli is only a short drive with a large retail park providing a large tesco extra in addition to many other shops, all with free parking. Gowerton has several golf courses within reach for the better player and an excellent driving range with 9 hole beginners couse where you can also get excellent tuition. If eating out we would recommend the Harvester and the Rake and Riddle. Paprika provide an excellent Indian take away! The countryside and area around the estuary is beautiful and the people we met during our stay genuinely friendly. A lovely holiday, I know we will be back!

Such a friendly and accommodating arrival

We stayed here just for a one night on our way to West Wales - such a friendly welcome from the lady on reception, although we were early she didn't turn us away but instead made us feel very welcome. The site was spotless. Will definitely return.

lovely level site

First time to the Gower Peninsular, so first time at this site. Its a lovely, quiet, level site. Good enclosed dog walk just off the site and also a large dog friendly playing field accessed from the site, through a locked gate (key attached to barrier key) which takes you to a garage and Tesco express. Fish & chips can be ordered from the reception area and collected at 6pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. There a couple of nice pubs, for food, within about 5 minutes drive from the site. The Rake and Riddle is particularly nice, especially for families. The site facilities were clean. However from our pitch, at the far end of the site, the facilities block is a long way away. There is only one facilities block, with just 5 showers. This is on a site that has 128 touring pitches. There was a smaller block, immediately adjoining the main one, but as the doors were kept locked I have no idea what was in there. Luckily we do not stay at peak times, but on the Saturday that we were leaving (BH) the site was busy, with an inevitable queue for the showers. You need to be up early to be beat the queue and the cleaning lady who arrives at 10.20am that advises you to finish off. The site is accessed via a narrowish lane, over a narrow bridge. Units arrived and were checked in well in advance of the 12 noon booking in time, which could cause a problem if two units meet at the bridge. Luckily the weather was extremely kind, dry sunny weather every day. There are some lovely dog friendly beaches all within 30 minutes drive from the site. Oxwich Bay is a must. There is a breathtaking view of Rhossilli Bay as you walk along to cliff tops to the old coastguard look out building, the walk down to beach is not too bad but you need to be quite fit for the walk back up!

Peaceful and good CMC team

We stayed here in lovely weather in our caravan in May 2018. The site is green, shaded if you want it, with a mix of grass and hardstanding. It is well placed for all the Gower beaches. We met some of the CMC team and they were all very friendly and helpful.

Super Site

1st time to this site. Only stayed 2 nights and wish we had longer. Grass areas still not fit for use but plenty of choice available on hard standings. All facilities good, staff pleasant and helpful. As long as you read info provided, site is easy to find but do not think you know best and try another apparent route. Will be back

Change of site was good

We had booked into another site but because of the rain had our booking cancelled and had to change. Really glad we did. Wonderful open aspect quiet flat site. Large pitches and clean warm showers. We Will be back. Only slight improvement would be to have a little bit bigger play area. My 10 year old wasn’t impressed!

2 nights away at this lovely site

We have just returned home from 2 nights away at this lovely site. Shower and toilet block were very clean and site was maintained to a high standard. Pitches were a great size and there was plenty of space between each one. We travelled to West Wales from here in just over an hour so it is conveniently located to visit many beautiful parts of Wales. We were so impressed with this site that we are going to book 4 nights away in May so that we can explore many other local places around the site. Wardens were extremely helpful and friendly. Can't wait to visit again.
