Just loved it.....

Lovely site..... Our favourite beach is just a short walk away and part of it og friendly. Wardens extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. Our boys (15 and 16) love it here as it is so near the surf. Facilities clean and near all pitches. Cannot wait to go back next year.

Perfect

We have been coming to this site for the past 10 years and have seen many warden changes.  We arrived one year after travelling all night to be greated with a warden who was quite rude to us for arriving early but we did ring before.  However this year the wardens this year are the best ones ever. They welcome you even if you do arrive early , they help you onto your pitch. Wardens are always working to maintain the site keeping it prestine. When we arrived we danaged the caravan on turing into the site and damaged the back of the van. The warden was amazing in reparing this so we could put our awning up. So a big thumbs up caravan club you have the right people for this site. They are a credit to our club. ??????

Calm in a sea of chaos.

I won't repeat the usual details about our sites because other people have summed the standards up nicely. But what I can say I have never experienced such a busy site with absolutely loads going on but yet so calm. I concur that the wardens help to create this atmosphere, with their well rehearsed planning,  getting units and people on and off the site, cutting the grass and hedges as units leave and generally keeping things calm. The facility block was under constant pressure as families came back from the beach at all times of day to use showers, but they were still in good condition even with this added use. We got the bus outside the site to St Ives which was really convenient, but take the back gate key with you as not all drivers will stop right outside the gates on the return journey as we found and we're dropped further up the road and came into the site that way. After a walk on the coastal path we found the Hells Mouth Café a great watering hole for food, drinks and ice cream. Contrary to some people we found Hayle at great little town with all you need and not as busy as other places we visited.

Don't change a thing

We had a lovely holiday here while our daughter and her family stayed nearby. The site is in a great location, immaculately maintained and with super clean showers and toilets. We liked the grass pitches as they make for a more informal look and feel. The wardens were exceptionally friendly and professional and I'm sure their attitude contributed to the calm and relaxed atmosphere. We don't usually travel during the school holidays but the area didn't seem too busy compared with other parts of Cornwall. We had good meals out at the Red River Inn in Gwithian and Sunset Surf. The National Trust cafe at Godrevy was also a hit. Hope to return to see what it's like out of season.

Another perfect stay

This is our 4/5th year here and you just cant beat it for location. Another perfect two week stay with lovely wardens who are very helpful. Noticed this year they have marked out pitches for certain length of caravan and when we arrived they walked over to help you on the pitch which was a nice touch. Good to see toilet block has been revamped a bit. Perfect access for beach, no steps still due to them being washed away but for the more able you can get up and down otherwise its a walk to the slope at Gwithian. Beach is perfect for the dogs even in the height of Summer. See you next year??.

Best Beach Site

Good site with great Wardens. Close to the Beach with good surf and RNLI cover. Nice pitches that are not packed in. The rear gate gives safe access to the sand dunes with only one road to cross.

Really nice stay

This is the third time we have stayed at Godrevy and did not suprise us that the wardens were as helpful as ever. It was our first time with the grandkids {17m & 5 y/o} and they loved the sites play area which is totally safe for them. The site was kept clean and tidy all the time and the showers were clean and nice and hot. No dog walk area which is not needed as there is plenty of sand dunes across the road for dogs to run wild. The beach is fantastic for children with rock pools to explore and plenty of clean sand to play with. We will be booking this site again as we love it and the area.Looking forward to our next stay at Godrevy

HOLIDAY HAVEN

Just got back from 14 days in Godrevy, arrived on the 13th and left the day the weather broke a little,so you can guess we had a fantastic time weather wise. Having been here last year we knew what to expect and again we were not disappointed. The site and the facilities are great and the wardens are exceptionally helpful..Situated only a short distance from both coasts it's ideal for visiting different beaches and sights...Gwithian beach is fantastic but other places like St.Michaels mount,Portreath,Lands End,and Mevigissy are stone throws away. Not forgetting our favourite Kinance Cove....one of the most photographed coves in the world.. So as you can see we had a wonderful time and will be booking again on Dec 9th for next year...

Good site for the Beach

What can I say that hasn't already been said. I would make a couple of comments though. The site has just over 100 pitches and can be tight so can members just think about other users? The showers two just became a secondary swimming pool, looked as though they hadn't long been replaced which was great but why was I the only person thinking of the next person using the shower and cleaning up? The site is a good 2.5 miles away from town and walking down the road and you are taking your life in your hands if you want to walk...and the bus service as we discovered wasn't that great. If your going to St Ives take the bus from outside the site (No 57) its easier and far cheaper than the train. Staff and team as always can't do enough for you and make you feel welcome.
