Stayed on this site for a week in July, last visit was about 7 years ago. The site is split into 2 areas one with harbour views and the other across the road in the walled area. We stayed in the garden walled part so now have tried both half’s the toilet block is looking tired and needs updating although it’s clean and tidy there are two loos two showers and two wash basins, we arrived with are Motorhome and a tow car there is little space as you arrive at reception so had to disconnect car and drive over the the other half of the site and indeed found little space to manoeuvre here as well. The wardens were polite and helpful and there is a little shop for bits and bobs the bus stops just outside the site to visit newton Stewart and other local places to visit. They have a chip shop van that arrives on a Wednesday and we also used ferry fish to order in fresh scallops they deliver to your pitch.just behind the site is the camping and caravan cl site and there is the pub called the harbour inn really close to the site that did a fabulous Sunday carvery. Found the site easy to reach from the M6 and A75 probably will try other sites nearby by to visit when we travel again to again to the west cost but if your looking for peace and quiet garlieston is a little gem.
