Peaceful and picturesque.
Lovely site in the small village of Garlieston. We had a non awning pitch overlooking the beach and harbour,so it was lovely watching the changing tides and the visiting sea birds.
There is very little in the village other than a pub and a small cafe but there is a lot to see and do a short drive away, and the area is beautiful.
The beach is great for walking dogs.
My only gripe was the facilities, which although reasonably clean are very dated, and the shower floor and tiles were very wet and felt a bit unsafe underfoot. I mopped it down before and after use, but others clearly didn't.
We had a very enjoyable stay.
