Ideal Location

This site has one of the most attractive locations on the Club’s network. We were pitched on the harbour side with wonderful views of the sea over 6 days of brilliant weather. The local area is tourist heaven with picturesque places to walk, cycle or drive. The Harbour Inn, just 100 metres from the site gate, serves its own excellent Harbour Gold real ale and reasonable quality pub food at good prices. Now for the downside. The toilet facilities, while kept clean, are in desperate need of renovation. Nor are just 2 male and 2 female showers for 46 caravans an adequate provision. It looks like the harbour side pitches have been recently ‘adjusted’ to get a few more in with the result that they are somewhat cramped. There are supposed to be small ‘grassed’ areas between the hard standings but some of these have been left like building sites with loose stones, rocks and weeds. Not acceptable CAMC! The lack of space in these areas and the gravel pitches mean that a motor mover is advisable to be able to get a caravan in and out. In summary, an outstanding location let down by poor management of the opportunities available.
