A little Gem
Very reluctant to leave the glowing review I want to leave as it will mean I have less chance of being able to book a pitch next time.
However Judith and Edgar are amazing wardens and nothing is too much trouble, from initially changing my booking then extending it they were so helpful.
Garlieston site is split into 2 sections and we were fortunate to have a pitch on the harbour side directly overlooking the bay - amazing.
The facilities though dated are immaculately clean and well maintained, endless hot water with great pressure.
We visited the Harbour Inn for a birthday meal and were certainly not disappointed, in fact we returned for Sunday carvery.
We also enjoyed a coffee and ice cream at The Hive cafe.
Whilst in the area on advice from a member we visited The Mull of Galloway lighthouse, which you can climb - 115 steps - and amazing 360 deg views. There is also a cafe which serves lovely homemade food. The journey takes you along the coast and past New England Bay campsite (well worth the look).
All in all an amazing place to visit and we will return, thank you.
