Our second visit to the lovely Garlieston club site and so glad to see that Anne and Martin are still the wardens - they are a credit to the Club and must be some of the best wardens we have come across. They went out of their way to help us get the most appropriate site for our stay as my husband is disabled and uses a mobility buggy. They also supply little cards with the local walks in the area and details of the visiting food vans and garage. The site was as spotless as the last time we were there and we will certainly be returning. The position is stunning, overlooking the bay and watching the high tide come galloping up the beach is amazing. In relation to the lack of a shop in the village, the garage is now quite well stocked with food and also has frozen food as well as every day essentials. It is easily in walking distance for a relatively fit person. The Fish & Chip van on a Friday is excellent, as were the scallops and special fish cakes from the travelling fish van on the Tuesday. I missed the local travelling butcher - also on a Tuesday - but understand his meat is really good. Keep up the good work Anne and Martin and thanks again - we'll be back. Rod & Julie Blake
