What a little gem of a site

We have just returned from a very enjoyable week at this stunning little gem of a site with great wardens and very friendly atmosphere - everyone spoke to everyone, which is really nice to see. Although the village doesn't have a shop now, that was part of its charm as it has travelling bank/butcher/fishmonger/library/fish and chip van which calls at the site - like back to the 1950s. Essentials like bread and milk could be obtained from the village garage, but it was nice to hear that although the wardens do stock calor gas, they do not have food items other than sweets so as not to take away from the local village economy. The toilet facilities are really nice and clean and the site is exceptionally well kept by the wardens - particularly the wonderful flowers at the entrance. The site is lovely and flat for those less mobile and the fishing off the village pier was ideal. We were particularly impressed at the help the wardens offered to another couple of caravanners who had had an unfortunate incident with a farm slurry lorry on the way to the site, going out of their way to get them a power washer to clean their unit up. Truly above and beyond. Thanks for a lovely week guys - the site is a credit to you and we'll be back. Grumpy disabled pensioner
