We spent 5 nights here in late April, first night in the walled garden section as the other area was full then we moved over and enjoyed a prime spot overlooking the bay. Busy yet quiet and peaceful. Immaculate and wardens were super and so cheerful. Lovely HOT showers! Many good walks from the site and lots of interesting places within easy drive. Good,easy walk out to the remains of Cruggleton Castle from the site. We enjoyed Wigtown, Whithorn and Port William which has a lovely new cafe at the harbour. The Harbour Inn  at Garlieston is lovely, good food and cosy atmosphere with open fire. Best to book. This is a super site in a great location and we highly recommend it.
