Wardens amazingly helpful and friendly. This area little known but a gem to explore - Isle of whiithorn, Whithorn Museum, Galloway House Gardens
Wigtown Book Town and Festival, Spring Fling (Arts & Crafts Festival), Gardens galore particularly good in May & June. Lovely cycling and walking countryside. Much more to see within an hour's drive - see site info
