We stayed at this site over the August bank holiday. Although the site was almost full it was peaceful possibly because it was not a holiday in Scotland and the site does not have a play area for children. The site is immaculate with a magnificent display of flowers around the office and entrances. All the facilities were very clean and tidy and the wardens very helpful and friendly. Garlieston has a small shop/post office where you can order papers/bread. Wigtown also has a Co-op store. There is also a very good pub which serves meals. This area of SW Scotland is quiet but has a number of interesting places to visit and the scenery is lovely. We shall definitely return.
