Peaceful and beautiful

Beautiful place for a calming holiday. This visit enjoyed stunning walks by the shore, visits to Isle of Whithorn, St Ninian's cave, Port William, but equally happy to just watch tide go in and out. Village shop sadly closed since we were last there but butcher, fishman and fish and chip van visit. Local garage sells a few things and takes orders for papers, bread, milk. The butcher in Wigtown makes lovely fresh pies and bakes bread. Co-op at Wigtown sells most other things needed Ann and Martin are welcoming and helpful wardens. Love this area. The people are are friendly, the scenery is gorgeous and the weather is often much better than across the Solway where we come from. The tropical plants at the Royal Botanic Garden at Logan prove it!
