This is our first time to this site & area but we will certainly be returning for a longer stay. The site is first class and the entrance flower beds are such a pleasure on arrival. The wardens could not be better. When we arrived the harbour side only had a couple of pitches available and Anne suggested that we looked at the walled garden area, glad she did as this part of the site is a wonderful location very sunny pitches all day (we had some good weather first week June) for us we thought this area was better than the harbour side... Garlieston is like going back in time it is very quite but the whole area is quite and relaxing. Suggest that you take the coast walk that starts between the harbour and the new block of flats, you will come across some gardens of Galloway House that are being renovated and are outstanding, you can follow this patch to a number of bays which all have spectacular views. If you like cycling then the roads are very quite and safe and a pleasant ride to the isle of whithorn is recommended. The local post office is the only shop around and has limited selection.
