Lovely four day stay with the Cheltenham Owners Club

A dozen Cheltenhams from 53 years old to a youthful 35 years descended on the site over the May Day week end.The site was the usual immaculate standard that we all value so much within the Caravan Club. Special mention must be made of the wardens, who smile all the time and for whom nothing is too much trouble.Being sited in the walled garden facilitated awning use in spite of the slightly patchy weather. The Harbour Inn is a joy to visit with lovely staff and good value pub grub. The Whithorn Story visitor centre is well worth a visit as is the Galloway Smokehouse which is sited round the bay in Carsluith. The local garage only sells diesel but there is fuel available about seven miles away in Bladnoch. The history of the design, testing and production of the Mulberry Harbour sections used in the Normandy landings is closely associated with Garlieston. A lovely stay WE WILL BE BACK.
