Galloway's finest
The club site at garlieston is a really pleasant site with nice walks and cycle areas close by. Facilities are very well looked after and the wardens are welcoming and helpful.
The views over the bay are lovely when the tide is in,when the tide is out the bay is a good place for dog walking
There are some nice shingle beach areas (only suitable when the tide is in)past the harbour entrance on the way to the coastal path to the Galloway house gardens. The gardens have a beautiful display of rhododendrons of many colours in April so well worth a visit.
I think it's a great site for a short family visit as occupying kids for more than a couple of days could be difficult, but if you are looking for a quiet site with some walking or beachcombing, the this would suit perfectly
