First visit

Another first visit on our Northern Adventure. What a lovely little site, on the harbour, and in two areas, we picked the walled garden, proper little sun trap. Very peaceful and relaxing. Short walk to beach where dogs are allowed, lots of lovely little walks. Short walk to excellent pub and good meals. The site itself is immaculate, all very clean and tidy and flowers at reception a picture. Wardens Ann and Martin are very helpful and give lots of info when checking in. There isn’t much there regards shops, just essentials at the garage and just one diesel pump, so make sure you are stocked up before you go. A small town Wigtown, a lovely little place, is about 6 miles away with a co-op post office etc, then Newton Stewart in about 18 miles. The pace of life is very slow, park where you want free! we were travelling along a side road and saw a sign ‘this road will be resurfaced one day next week’ says it all. Make time to go down to the Isle of Whithorn and walk to the headland which is the most Southern point in Scotland, on a clear day Ireland, Isle of Man and Cumbria can be seen. A lovely relaxing 5 days stay
