Good for families

Beside the seaside (well almost).

We stayed here for the first time having spent time in and around Glasgow, on The Isle Of Mull and The Mull Of Kintyre. Heading south we visited Dumfries and the picturesque village of New Abbey and over nighted here. I had hoped for a pitch by the sea but was tucked away at the back of a walled garden as the site was virtually full. This did not spoil our one night stay as Garlieston was worth the visit. Slightly more cramped than the average Club site the pitches were level and the facilities were spotless. The warden was so apologetic in not being able to offer us a sea view but that speaks for itself as the site seems so popular. We will come back here.
