Good for families

Beautiful site. Great for a back to nature family break

We have just ended a week's stay here. The setting blew us away and we will be back. Yes, its quiet and peaceful. There isn't a supermarket for a few miles (aldi and sainsbury's in Newtown Stewart, ) but it's a stunning place. The local 'The Harbour Inn' is a fabulous pub and restaurant and we were warmly welcomed. Ann and Martin who run the caravan club site couldn't do more to help. There are lovely walks on offer. We also took a drive out to nearby Wigtown (Scotland's book town) during the spring fling and it was a lovely place to visit. Broughton house in kirkcudbright was also amazing. There's lots on offer if you're willing to drive out a little but honestly the beach, stunning harbour and local walks can keep you entertained too...my 11yrold and 8 year old had a ball. An unforgettable place...
