Excellent little site !!!

Wonderful site ….very welcoming and friendly wardens …..very clean and tidy site …..we had planned to stay for a few nights but due to the bad weather forecast due further up north in Scotland we extended our stay for a week and enjoyed everyday …lots of walks to do in the area ….lovely fish delivery on site every Wednesday and visited the local pub for a meal ….we stayed on a pitch in the garden area which we enjoyed …..such a quiet and friendly site !!

First visit to garlieston club site.

First visit to garlieston club site middle of September 21. there is two sides to this site, site over the road is grass and hard standing. we stayed on site by main reception overlooking the bay, there are hard standing and grass pitches , toilet and showers were very clean . wardens were very helpful. dog walk off site were allowed on beach. village very picturesque with different colour cottages. nearest shop was 10 minutes walk witch was an old garage that sold main essentials. would visit again.

My happy place.

I've just had my annual September visit to Garlieston. A perfect stay as always on this beautiful part of The Galloway Coast. There's always a friendly welcome, from the wardens, who are just so helpful and keep the site well maintained. There are some fantastic walks along the coast line from the village and further afield. Garlieston has a magical attraction, which keeps me coming back for more visits. I'd like to say a huge thank you to, the wardens, Ann and Martin for all the years that they've looked after us and wish them all the happiness in their retirement. - It won't be the same without them.

September stay

Site is at the end of a pleasant looking village looking onto the bay. Tide was out during daylight when we were there. Good food and beer in the one pub. Nice coastal walks and interesting military history , would stay again . Quiet site at night when we stayed ( September 2021 )

Pleasant well run site

A pleasant week, with excellent wardens, lovely views and decent walks from the site and nearby. Unlike other reviewers were not overly impressed with the nearby pub, which we found not to be the friendliest. But there are plenty of alternatives a short drive away. Our hopes for a peaceful week were also regularly shattered by a high number of very vocal, unruly small dogs. We are dog owners ourselves, and not usually put off by dogs barking, but the numbers of noisy dogs during our stay was exceptional, especially early mornings. Pitches are ample and level, with awning pitches on the main site set back from the waterfront, but still enjoying sea views, and excellent sunsets. Facilities were immaculate, if a little tired, with the shower cubicles in the walled garden area a bit of the small side with limited hanging space. It was on the whole a very pleasant site, but we will not be rushing back.

Another visit....a lovely place.

Another visit to one of our favorites. As always the site was in excellent condition and the facilities spotlessly clean thanks to the hard work of your hosts Anne and Martin ......... both are always cheerful and it seems nothing is too much trouble. Even accepting our Amazon stuff while we were out enjoying ourselves. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a lovely place this is for you. We have booked again already.

Fantastic location

We stayed for two nights on our Scottish trip. Our pitch was located in the walled garden which did not have a sea view but was secluded, spacious and very quiet. The warden team could not do enough for us including delivering our Amazon delivery bringing forgotten essentials.Nice walks along the shores with a great information centre. Highly recommend.
