Having stayed at caravan site in Garlieston from 1st Sept to 11th Sept we find ourselves writing the first ever review. We have toured for 40 years and have been with Caravan club for 24 years. The entrance to the site is a mass of colour with flowers, there should be awards for such floral displays. On entering reception we were greeted efficiently, a smile and lots of local information The site itself is a jem, so very well kept and the toilet blocks were immaculate at all times. But the diamonds were the wardens, so kind and helpful to everyone very hard working with a great sense of humour which is essential and sometimes lacking on some sites this was our first visit to Garlieston but hope to return. We hope the club realise what a asset wardens Martin and Ann are.

This site is on the edge of the harbour in a charming small village.. It is a small site divided in two. The larger part is beside the sea And the other smaller part across a narrow road in woodland with full facilities. The village is at the end of the from Wigtown and therefor traffic is very light. There is only one shop in the village with modest supplies and the nearest super market (small but well stocked) is in Wigtown about 6 miles away. There is excellent dog walking off site but adjacent. As usual welcoming reception. A great experience.
