Lovely quiet site
My wife and I recently spent 6 nights here and loved the quiet nature of the site (the only exception being a flock of rooks who roosted nearby and made quite a racket one morning, but we could hardly blame the site for that). The site has a very friendly and helpful warden, Billy, who also has a very friendly black lab. We visited the very impressive Pystyll Rhaeadr waterfall, Plas Newydd in Llangollen and Crick Castle - all well worth a visit. We also had a Father's Day lunch with son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter at the pub in Cynwyd, which was well-cooked and with generous portions, necessitating a 4-mile walk along the nearby disused railway line. All in all, a very enjoyable break.
