yes but

Just spent a few days here in the week before Easter. The site has been recently upgraded so some of the earlier adverse comments may be obsolete. Certainly the toilet blocks are now first class. However what is now a bit off-putting is the large number of sleeping policemen (not shown in any of the publicity photos). Are they really necessary? How many accidents have there been in the past to justify them? This seems to be part of a safety drive as there are now a number of notices reminding us that safety is important. Do we really need that drumming into us? My only encounter with the warden was on arrival because I ducked under the entrance barrier - not noticing the footpath gate which to my opinion had been installed on the wrong side of the road. So I got a safety warning as my first greeting. I noticed that next new arrival did just the same thing. It is this sort of culture that has enabled the Camping & Caravan Club to call itself 'The Friendly Club'. Nevertheless, a super location.
