Welsh wonder.

The last mile or two was a little scary because of the narrow lanes but I think this was down to my sat nav. Coming in from Pembroke would of been easier. The steep hill coming down to the site could be tricky in wet weather. On arrival though the Wardens were lovely & very helpful. I didn’t have much choice of pitch as there was only 1 left bang opposite the kiddies play area. Which to be fair didn’t really bother us as we stayed mid week when the kids were at school. The site is beautifully maintained. Toilets & showers immaculate. TV signal was poor ( only 4 channels) even on the mains aerial. Telephone reception? Forget it & no internet either. Not a bad thing when you want to get away from all that. The beach is a stones throw away, as are many of the small cove beaches in the area. We realised very quickly we hadn’t booked long enough as the area has so many places to explore. Pembroke Castle a must but take the free guided tour. The guide is unbelievable. Will we be back .... ? Of course we will. Weldone Freshwater 👍
