Good for families

Same as it ever was.

Just managed to get in for 3 nights and we were mighty glad we were one of the first arrivals of the day and were lucky enough to find a hardstanding pitch. I'd forgotten how many grass pitches there were and though we were told by the wardens that there were a few closed because they were too wet, we saw quite a few 'vans struggling to get onto the remaining ones. The site was as clean as ever and the social distancing rules were adhered to. I'm a bit mystified as to how the rules are chosen, as this is the third site we've been on since lockdown and all three (C&MC) had different interpretations. This time around there were four wristbands available, which seemed to cut down on the queuing (outside at least) though as there were only two toilets available in the gents, there was queuing inside! On such a large site, I wonder whether the ratio of 3 toilets to 6 showers was a sensible option when it was refurbished. One thing that hasn't altered though, is how steep that hill is back up to Lamphey. It's 3 years since we last cycled it but it was far tougher this time around!
