Good for families

Less dogs please.

This is a lovely site, the wardens were helpful and friendly. A two minute walk and you are at the beach or the coastal path which is stunning. My only complaint is the number of dogs on the site. Most of them are well behaved and do not bark much but the little "yappers" drive you crazy. Every time someone walks past their caravan/motorhome they yap and the owners just tell them to be quiet and of course they don't. I understand from a recent C&MHC magazine that 40% of members have dogs which is fine but PLEASE do not let them yap. This would be a very peaceful site without all the dogs. I noticed that there is a leaflet on the counter when you book into the site about members bringing dogs, I think maybe the wardens should make a point of showing this to people when they arrive and point out that barking dogs can be very annoying. One evening we had a dog in a caravan behind us whining from 6.00 p.m. until 11.00 p.m. Please dog owners be more considerate to members who do not have dogs, use the dog walks if they are available and do not let your dogs foul the site.

You share the record for 10 uses of the word "dog" in a single review!

I'm not sure which of the owners you're referring to are likely to read this and think "must try harder in future".

Best to either mention problems to the wardens at the time or contact the club later.

In a review it's of little use, I'm afraid, other than letting off steam!

When booking in, the wardens usually ask if you have dogs with you. If the answer is in the affirmative, they hand out a leaflet.

I can’t recall ever not being asked, JV. I thought you’d be well aware of the wardens role in the booking in process.

We have never been asked if we have dogs (which we do) perhaps they think as a member we have read and digested the club rules.
