Good for families

I must be getting old!

We`ve been to this area and this site several times before, but the allure seems to have faded a little. It`s still in a good spot with easy access to a lovely beach, but our stay wasn`t as enjoyable as we had hoped for or expected. We got a decent pitch right at the far end of the site (90), and we both paid for wi-fi access. Big mistake. Wi-fi at this point is abysmal (30% of the time) and non-existent for the remainder, Basically, if you are pitched there, don`t waste your money. My bigger gripe was the toilet block arrangements .....I fully understand social distancing etc, but with a little more thought a more sensible arrangement could have been arrived at. With two wristbands at each facility block for each gender, I can`t help wondering why they aren`t colour coded differently? Why not (for instance) two pink (for the toilets) and two blue ones (for the showers and cubicles)??? On the day we left there was a queue of four lads waiting for a shower, and one poor guy from a tent (presumably with no `on-board` facilities) faced with a half hour wait for a lavatory? The two areas are at opposite ends of the toilet block! The other point is - we are all on holiday. Whilst it may be nice for the parents to let their off-spring bother others for a while and enjoy a little peace and quiet, I did get annoyed at waiting some 10 minutes to enter a toilet block as there were no wristbands available before I realised the reason there wasn`t any was because several little `darlings` were playing tag with them around the site! Can`t blame the children I suppose, they need some direction. I think CL`s may be the way forward.

I'm with you on this regarding the shower/toilet facilities....we had the same problem at Southlands isle of Wight in the end we were allowed to use common sense regarding the need to go to the toilet...if not in use, then use them.

Wrist band were mainly for the wash facilities.

You both have to be having a laugh re the facilities ! Since reopening I have visited two sites for a total of 11 nights. The majority of people cannot grasp the idea of putting your band on the peg when you enter and removing it when you leave. I suggest asking people to recite the periodic table would be easier than introducing colour coded bands :-)

As mentioned in my review, the three sites I've recently visited all had different interpretations. At one site I confess to leaving my wristband on the hook once and on on the recent one where there were bands in a bucket of milton, several people walked off without returning their bands. That's only human nature; it's called forgetfulness, not failing to grasp the situation.
