Fresh to Freshwater.
This was our first visit to this site and were impressed by both the location and the ambiance. It is fair to say that the Club’s rules and regulations are strictly enforced and whilst this is to be applauded a more relaxed and friendly face could be shown by the wardens. That said we had no issues with them though we heard first hand of others that did. The lower level of pitches at the far end of the site are rather dark being overhung by trees and many who originally pitched there moved elsewhere when an opportunity arose.
We continue to use only our own onboard facilities and so are unable to comment on the toilet/shower blocks but they appeared ok from the outside.
The location is superb for both the beach and the other natural attractions of the Pembrokeshire coast. The nearest supermarket shopping is 5 miles distant in Pembroke, a pleasant town with a fine castle worthy of a visit.
We liked the site so much that we extended our stay to ten days in all and wouldn’t hesitate to return on another trip to S. Wales.
