Good for families

Dogs and more dogs!

We found that nearly every caravan had a dog on board. Some caravans had two, three and even four. The barking and yapping was non stop. On several occasions the dogs were on site off the lead and those that were on a lead it was an extension lead so the dogs could urinate on awnings etc as walking past. The dogs were not to blame it was their owners! We went to several beaches around the area and there were dogs on all the beaches, so not a site to visit with children who want to go on the sands or in the sea. Not a site to visit if you want a flat walk to the toilet block, some pretty steep inclines to puff up. However, the site was well kept and the wardens most helpful but not for us too many dogs, dogs, dogs!

Once again, I'm asking a reviewer whether he/she made the wardens aware at the time of what was happening as they can’t act if they don’t know.

If the yapping was described I would expect the wardens to be aware and as for dogs on extending and extended leads the staff seem to ignore

The problem with reviews like this is that one wonders if they can possibly be accurate. "Nearly every" van had a dog - really? The "yapping was non stop" - really? Did the OP stay on site all day every day? Dogs on extending leads "urinating on awnings" - really?

Barking dogs are undoubtedly irritating and to that extent the OP has my sympathy but does it never occur at home?

I've said this on another review, but I'm tempted again to second the advice given when a poster complained about loud music at Exeter Racecourse - if you really find this sort of thing so irritating, maybe it's time to consider a different hobby.

Noise is subjective. I see the reviewer has stayed at Baltic Wharf and enjoyed it, you couldn't get a noisier city site than BW (traffic, road works, sirens, boats, late night revellers etc etc)
