Rude Staff

We arrived 10 mins early, we buzzed the buzzer and was told " I'm busy sorting out the toilets, you will have to reverse out and come back in 10 mins, I understand that we were early but a queue had formed behind us and we could not reverse with our caravan, a lady then came over and told us off basically for arriving early, she opened the barrier for us and told us to park in the arrivals section and not to be early next time, staff were rude and very unwelcoming. The next day we were told off for not taking the quickest route off site to walk our dog, we walked past 2 extra caravans, I told the warden we were heading to the exit, he pointed and said your caravan is there, you should have come this way, we felt like naughty children, we went to the office to read the parks policy on dogs, we told the lady we were on plot 57, she said to my husband..."Pitch" 57? again being made to feel uncomfortable, I feel the staff here have alot to learn about talking to people and not talking down to them, yes the toilets were immaculate but what's the point if you have rude and unwelcoming staff.

We have just returned from a few days at Ferry Meadows and found all wardens were very friendly and helpful.Friendly reception when we arrived, after 12 o'clock , and wardens stopped to chat when we were walking out and into the site with the dog. At no time were they rude.

When "poor" reviews like this are posted it makes one wonder?,we have been to FM four times this year and not encountered any "rude" staff,

Although the add anti traveller security barrier must be a pain when the site is on winter staffing levels and there are early arrivalsundecided

Malshers, are you new members? I ask because what you have encountered was not ‘Park Policy’ but ‘Club Rules’ that can be found in your members handbook and applies to all sites on the network. It covers things like arrival times and where you can exercise your dog.

The Wardens will suitably advise members for the benefit of all, but to save embarrassment just give them a read.
