Firstly the site. We have used this site many times but only for overnight stopovers on our way somewhere else. Each time we do this we say we really must stay longer. Excellent access to and from the A1. With the Country Park, steam train (I for one, love to hear them whistle and 9pm isn't too late surely!) and countless other attractions in the area.The layout, pitches and facilities are good as per the usual Club standard and its so peaceful and quiet. The staff were very friendly and efficient and always had time to stop and chat. Excellent site that i cannot fault. Secondly, reading other reviews. I cannot see a problem with the 'extra' barrier. Having added security is surely for our benefit. With the regard to the issue of early arrivals. This is something that really annoys me at most CAMC sites. Arrival times are clearly stated and are set for many reasons. It astounds me that people cannot adhere to this very simple 'rule'. Its so easy to plan your trip to arrive at a planned time and it would save everyone a lot of hassle and resentment if only people could accept this. I wish this ruling was enforced at every site. We use CAMC sites because they are run in a way that we like and suits us. If you don't like the way CAMC sites are run - simple - don't use them and leave them for those that don't have a problem with living with rules!
